One of our younger chickens has hurt her leg. Almost like the other hen we had a few weeks back! We haven’t built our ‘infimary’ yet! She is the one holding her leg up in the pen below.

I think she had injured her leg when she jumped off the coop. Our younger chickens have gotten into the habit of perching on top of the coop. However, at least they go inside the coop at the end of the day! Which reminds me! Check out our video I just posted today!


For dinner we had sunny side up eggs! I made the adults sandwiches and the kids had toast with their sunny side up eggs.

I toasted the bread, spread mayo on it, cut up cheese, and put eggs in the middle! YUM! Nothing like breakfast for dinner!

I just wanted to add a cute picture of our cat! Sorry it’s so blurry but I caught her sleeping in an awkward position.

Awkward, right!? I couldn’t sleep like that!

Last on my list for this post is the vegetable plants. they are still hanging out in the green house! However, I think I’m going to plant them into larger pots and just keep them in the green house.

Hopefully, next ‘Friday on the Backyard Farm’ will have an updated pictures of the plants! Fingers crossed that nothing too crazy happens!
