Goats

We currently have four Nigerian Dwarf goats. One wether (Yoshi), one buck (BB8), and two does (Ava and Hazelnut).

Having goats were not on our “we got to have” list. The first time the goat discussion was brought up was when I started having horrible indigestion and heartburn that lasted through out the night. I did research on home remedies and found goat milk was on the list. However, we didn’t have the money to buy a goat. That was that! Fast forward a year and a half later, Jacob was at our local Tractor Supply Store, he striked up a conversation with a couple while looking at baby chicks. Their Nigerian dwarf doe had given birth to a baby buck. The baby buck needed a new home. I bet you can guess where he ended up! We brought him home a few weeks later.

What happened to my indigestion? I ended up quitting my job, over time the indigestion resolved itself.

BB8 and Yoshi have been with us for a year. They are very curious and smart animals. Ava and Hazel joined the herd in February 2018.
