I can’t believe it’s Friday again! I also can’t believe this is post #13! I know it’s not exactly Friday the 13th but it’s my 13th post for this series 😅.

Enough of that! It has been really hot here in Virginia. We have also had thunder storms! We have had it thunder one day for an hour before the rain. The thunder was so loud that ALL the animals freaked out!

This makes me think of the animals outside in the burning heat. Of course, the dogs and cats come inside the house but we can’t let any of the other animals in 😔.

Really we don’t do anything special for the livestock. We make sure they have plenty of water. All of the enclosures offer shade. We let out all the chickens and ducks to free range.

Unfortunately, the goats have to take turns in free ranging. I’m hoping one day to have two separate pastures so both boy and girl goats can free range at the same time! However, nothing we can do about that now unless we got BB8 or the girl goats diapers. I’m not even sure if that would work! Would be awesome if it did. We do not want any unplanned pregnancies!

We have had several plants die in the green house. I think the heat is too severe for them and our cat likes to go in there and knock the plants off. We haven’t planted them yet because there is no where to put them. I had started prepping the ground inside the green house but remembered we have the security camera wires running under ground right where the green house is! I will have to think of something else.

I had mentioned a couple of posts back that we had a hen sitting on eggs. I’m sad to report that the hen is no longer sitting on eggs. Actually the eggs have disappeared! I’m pretty sure another hen ate them. We hope to hatch brahma chicken eggs and pekin duck eggs in the future.

I did post a video on our goat and a scary situation dealing with his collar! Be sure to check it out!

There’s not much more going on thankfully! Thanks for reading! 🙂
