We visited Kings Dominion WinterFest for the first time this year!

Our family had a lot of fun seeing all the lights and decorations that were put up. We walked around almost the whole park. Every inch of it was decorated with some places having a different theme.

WinterFest and parking are included with our Gold Pass. A ticket by itself is about $30. Parking is about $20. If you buy a pass now then you will get WinterFest and have next year included with it. The pass also allows discounts for food and merchandise. For extra fee you can rent an igloo with goodies (which you will see in our video below), horse drawn carriage ride, ice skating, and other events. If you rent the igloo for $299 the horse drawn carriage ride is included along with some other events but I can’t remember all that the staff had said. It would be a cute idea for a birthday party but everyone that came would have to get a ticket.

The night we went on was cold so we had to bundle up with hats, scarves, and gloves. During our visit, we had to find where the hot chocolate was served since it can only be found at certain places. At the beginning of the theme park there is a pamphlet beside the park map that has that information in it, along with shows and events.

We didn’t get a funnel cake like we did on our previous visit for Halloween Haunt. Instead we opted for cookies and french fries. The hot french fries hit the spot since it was so cold outside!

They had a lot of the rides open, but there were some that were closed. We didn’t ride any rides except for the roller coaster Racer 75. When it’s cold, be sure to bundle up! My hat stayed on for the ride but I kept a hand on it so it wouldn’t fly off. Going up the hill to the first drop it was awesome to see the park lit up.

We made a video, showing some of what the park offers! Hopefully you will enjoy the video. If you’ve been to Kings Dominion WinterFest, share your thoughts on it in the comments below!
