This post was supposed to be posted last friday! However, it didn’t happen because I had problems with the computer. This time it wasn’t the internet but the virus protection on it. It kept saying protection was disabled and I needed to restart. Well, after typing up a few paragraphs on here I hit restart and guess what happened to the paragraphs? They disappeared! Ended up I had to uninstall and reinstall the virus protection. So far so good!

The rash on my arm had finally disappeared by the beginning of September. I’ve never dealt with anything like that! Where the rash would come and go on my arm for several months. With the rash gone, we finally started trimming goat hooves. We have 5 more goats’ hooves to do.

Our rooster, Henry, and our pekin drake have been limping around the property. Henry’s foot had a bump on his toe. Which I put epsom salt on a warm, damp cloth and held on the bump for a few minutes. I sprayed vetericyn on the bump, added neosporin ointment and sent him on his way. Next day, he was much better. A few days later we put vasoline on his legs because his legs looked really dry. Sometimes chickens can get little bugs called mites and they can cause the leg scales to raise. We’re going to be putting vasoline on his legs again.

With the duck we can’t figure out what is wrong with him. His foot and leg look fine so I’m wondering if he strained it. Tonight he seemed like he was more standing up and not limping as much. I believe he just needs to rest and not walk around a lot.

Jacob found a new tree on our property with red berries. We are trying to figure out what it is! I’m actually working on a video for it right now. That should be out soon!

I made an AMAZING stew the other day! Had some really good spices in it. Down fall was the kids didn’t like it but me and hubby LOVED it. I’m going to get that typed up!

I don’t know if I had mentioned before I made tortillas and they were delicious. I’ve made them twice. Both times came out great! I just need to make tortillas again to take pictures. I have to admit with the tortillas I’m not that great at rolling them out so they are round.

That’s it for now! Thanks for reading! We have a few good things to come! Please subscribe if you haven’t already!
