I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

We traveled and spent time with family! The highlight of the evening was bringing home two roosters that had belonged to a family member. We had an over two hour car drive with them! Our kids had a trash bag draped on their laps and the roosters sat on the trash bag. Surprisingly, the roosters didn’t poop…much. 😅

Today we spent time getting the new roosters acquainted with everyone! Lets just say they are all trying to be friends😶. More to come on this!

I got several suet feeders from Tractor Supply for .84¢! These open in the front for the suet cakes. Suet cakes are usually packed with little pieces of fruit, bird seed, and cracked corn. I’m going to make my own to fill them. The tag states it’s for wild life but I will be using them for the chickens. I got enough to put one in each coop and then a couple outside in the yard. I think everyone should be happy…except for the ducks. Sorry! I’ll have to figure out something else for them.

We usually always check Tractor Supply clearance and we happened to see the feeders. They were marked at .99¢, but they rang up for .84¢. If you happen to go to Tractor Supply or other store, always check the clearance!

However, back to the ducks! I have been giving mine warm peas once in a while. They have been really enjoying them! Supposedly peas have niacin which is really good for the ducks. Of course, the chickens have been eating the peas too. I have been buying the frozen peas, warming them in water in the microwave. Peas are a nice little treat for the ducks so that will have to do until I can get them a feeder of some sort. 😬

I made a couple of really good dishes! One was a chicken pot pie and the other was a soup/chili! In the coming weeks, I will get those recipes posted! So stay tuned!

That’s all that I have for now! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy your weekend!
