Happy Friday! Friday once again!! We had beautiful 70 degree weather yesterday! Today should be nice as well. However, it is super windy right now. Things have calmed down around here. Yay!

I recently posted a video of the snow in our backyard farm. I still haven’t figured out how to transfer pictures from my new phone to the laptop. Hopefully, I’ll figure that out soon.

I re-posted my experience with the frozen crock pot meals. Check it out if you haven’t already! I put some great tips in there and you can learn from my mistakes ðŸĪŠ. I’m happy to say all crock pot meals are gone! I should be getting a post of those recipes up soon.

The chickens have found use for the green house! It has been some time since I had been in there and almost twisted my ankle! They made a dirt bath right behind the door. 😂😭 I made a short video on it, I’ll post the link below!

Chicks were not on our agenda for this year. However, we do have a broody hen that we allowed to sit on eggs so we will be getting chicks, just none from the store. She has been on the eggs for 4 days! I didn’t collect eggs one night and BOOM next day she was on them. She is a hen that we got last year, a giant black jersey. We’ll see how that goes and I will keep you posted on the hen and eggs.

We are making plans for the green house. If you haven’t followed our journey, then long story short: The girl goats are living in our vegetable garden area. Last year we grew vegetable plants in the green house, transferred them to buckets, and we hardly had any vegetables. I learned about self pollinating… where you have to tap the plants to help them to produce the vegetables. It didn’t work out good for me, but I think I tried that too late. I really want to plant vegetable plants to have outside and not in the green house. I think I’m going to store berry bushes, small fruit trees, and herbs in the green house.

It’s hard to say what we will do, we have to clear a lot of large items in our backyard to put up a new fence for the girl goats. It’s a lot of time, money, and work.

Thanks for reading! Please check out the short video I posted today to see the chickens enjoying themselves!
