I know what you are thinking. Slappy Joes? Isn’t it supposed to be Sloppy Joes? Yes. I made this recipe in high school and didn’t realize until later that I wrote Slappy Joes on the recipe card. So Slappy Joes it is! 😂

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion chopped (optional)
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tsp mustard
  • 1/2 Cup Ketchup
  • pinch of garlic powder

Brown beef/turkey and onion in a large skillet. Drain any fat.

Stir in remaining ingredients.

Simmer 10-20 minutes stirring occassionally.

Scoop up the Slappy Joe mix, place it onto a hamburger bun. However, you can make sliders by using rolls or cutting hot dog buns into half. Don’t have either of those? Use regular bread!

Another silly fact with this recipe is I spelled Worcestershire sauce as Worrestershire sauce. 😂 I just spelled it the correct way on this recipe so you know what I’m talking about!

Enjoy!
