I LOVE eatting bacon. Cooking it? Not so much! The one thing I hate about cooking bacon is ALL the grease!
I have tried cooking bacon in the microwave. The paper towels would be soaked in grease. I have tried cooking bacon on the stove top. The grease practically pops out of the pan. I’ll admit it, it gets a little scary some times with the grease popping. 😱
I wanted to make bacon to go with my eggs but didn’t want to mess around with the grease. I have cooked turkey bacon before in the oven and this time I decided to try regular bacon.
- Set oven to 400 degrees
- Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil
- Line bacon up on the foil. Try to make sure each bacon is lined up side by side and not overlapping other bacon.
- Thin Bacon Cook 15-20 minutes
- Thick Bacon Cook 20-25 minutes
- You might have to re-adjust some of the bacon. My picture below is bacon cooking in the oven, the right side of the pan has more bacon over lapping each other. I took off the bacon on the left side that had cooked 20 minutes, and re-adjusted and cooked the right bacon for another 5 minutes.
Plus while the bacon is cooking in the oven, I can tend to my eggs on the stove top.
