Need something quick for dinner? Try this! My recipe is quick, simple to throw together, and delicious! Plus you can bake this in the oven. Our family stopped eating a lot of beef years ago, we instead substitute with ground chicken or turkey.
Turkey Burger Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey (or beef)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup bread crumbs (don’t have bread crumbs then toast 4 pieces of bread, crumbling it up)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce (you can leave this out if you’d like)
Makes 5 patties.
Mix ingredients together. If you toasted bread for the recipe, make sure you crumble it up. It doesn’t have to be super small. I have included a picture of it below.
This is what the 4 pieces of toast will look like after crumbling it. Some pieces are a bit big, but that is okay. It’ll soften, blending in once everything is mixed together.
Preheat oven to 375. Bake for 15 minutes, then flip the burgers and bake another 15 minutes. We put our burgers on buns, topping it with mayo, ketchup, mustard, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. We usually serve with a side of fries or beans. Enjoy! 🙂
